We announce the death of John K Bitting of Pine Grove Mills, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 25, 2026, at the age of 68. John will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. John will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew John will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. John’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clair I. Bitting and Thelma J. Bitting (Spece); and his brother Douglas Bitting. He is survived by: his sister-in-law Cyndi Bitting of Mifflintown; his nieces, Aleisha Esh of Lewistown and Ketra Forry (Keith) of Hummelstown; and his great-nephew Lincoln Forry.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc. (111 W Fall St, McAlisterville, PA 17049). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. Bitting's memory can be made to his church, State College Assembly of God, 2201 University Drive, State College, Pa 16801.
