He was predeceased by: his parents, Alma Finlan (Rice) and Joseph Finlan; and his brother Robert Finlan. He is survived by: his wife Diane L. Finlan (Hatzel); his children, John "Cowboy" R. Finlan (Michelle) and Christine Reiner (Eric); his brother Joseph Finlan (Sharon); his grandchildren, Corina, Megan, Audrianna, Connor, Aaron, Cole and Mark; and his great grandchildren, Claiden, Greyson, Carter, Layken and Django.
A funeral Mass was held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Charles Boromeo Church (1115 Walnut St, Ashland, PA 17921). The military honors was held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery (60 Indiantown Gap Rd, Annville, PA 17003).
