Jack Solomon wrote a sympathy message

“It was sad news to hear that we lost Alex. Not unexpected, yet no less hard to hear. Alex was a legend in his own time, a one-man army, working hard to keep not only Hungarian cuisine alive, but all of Hungarian language, arts, history, music, and culture. He treated everyone who entered Jozsa Corner as a member of his family. He fed us, He fed us, entertained us, educated us, and loved us. Jack Solomon Or, as Alex affectionately named me, Uncle Jack Sholomon”
