She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Sowell and Mandy Sowell; her siblings, Sanellor Houston, Adelle Plummer, LaSalle Claybourne, Viola Sowell, Shirley V. Sowell, Lottie Jean Harden, Joe Sowell, Pleaz Sowell and Irvin Sowell; her husband Bill Embry; and her children, Drena, Barbara, Terry, Michael and Timothy.
She is survived by: her godson Darryl Coleman. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 83 great-grandchildren, 72 great-great-grandchildren.
