He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Carl and Anna Wurm (Kramer); and his granddaughter Chelsea Rene Serafini. He is survived by: his spouse Gail A. Wurm (Ransom); his children, Stacey Jean Mangel (Keith) and Crystal Gail Wurm; his sister Suzie Carlino; his grandchildren, Izabel Paige and Sydney Ann Wurm McCleary; and his sister-in-law Donna Bell (Tom).
