“I wrote too much before, but there is too much to say to honor my dear friend. My condolences to her family who are surely heartbroken and shocked about this special lady who was as much a part of my youth as my own family. Especially .condolences to Beverly and Bobbie, who were the kid sisters we loved, and her four boys. Takes a special Mom and Dad to raise sons.”

Donna Hunt wrote a sympathy message

“Oh my gosh, I was just informed of Carol Ann’s death and I am heartbroken. She has been on my mind a lot recently and I tried to give her a Christmas call. We spoke often even tho we didn’t live near each other . We’ve known each other since elementary school and we’re “best friends “ for many years. I sang at hers and Jim’s wedding and she was a bridesmaid in mine. We were even roommates in NURSING School at Shadyside Hospital. She was one of the smartest gals I knew and a dedicated nurse.”

Richard Wolfe wrote a sympathy message

“I knew Carol Kenning since we both were in elementary school. I remember sitting on her porch in the summer with her sister. We were in Wilkinsburg HS together and were great friends. In fact she married one of my very best friends, Jim Gilkey. She was always a smart wonderful person and I give my condolences and love to her family. She left us too soon. We will always miss her.-Dick Wolfe”
