She was predeceased by: her husband David H. O'Dell; and her parents, Clara Stypula and Joseph Stypula. She is survived by: her children, Colleen Wetmore, David E. O'Dell and Kathleen Mest; her grandchildren, Erin Wetmore Skinner, Kay Wetmore, Timothy Wetmore, Evan O'Dell, Owen Mest, Jack Mest and John Mest; her sister Judith Beacon; and her close friend Samuel Bracon. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Carol's memory to Breakthrough T1D or the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance (OCRA).
