With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carol R. Serine of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 3, 2026 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Carol may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Carol touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her father John A. Ashworth, Sr.; and her brother John A. Ashworth, Jr. (Jack). She is survived by: her mother Irene C. Pelles Ashworth; her daughter Melanie Serine Russell (John) of Pittsburgh; and her granddaughter Molly Russell. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
