We are sad to announce that on April 25, 2025, at the age of 76, Charles W. Knapp (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Charles W. has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, William Knapp, Philippe Knapp and Helena Knapp; the parent of his children Inah; his parents, William Edward Knapp and Dorothy Lytle Altgelt; and his siblings, Corday Mensch and Linda Sumser. He was also cherished by friends, nieces, nephews and his Goddaughter.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at 204 Cemetery Ln, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
The family respectfully suggests donations be made to the family for funeral expenses and Pulmonary Fibrosis Research.
