He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Lepinsky and Donna Marie Lepinsky; and his sibling McRae Tolon. He is survived by: his children, Samantha Compliment (Matt), Jocelyn Compliment and Sandi Compliment; his granddaughter Olivia Salinetro; and his siblings, Tina Nickl (Mark), Mark Lepinsky (Cathie), Michele Gregor (Gary) and Kori Tolon (Scott Hearn).

“It was a real privilege for me to know Dave the little time that I did. I worked with him for the last few months of his life. He was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. He was very polite, and I learned a lot from him. He took a lot of pride in what he did, and he shared his appreciation of the good work of others. Dave was singing "Hotel California" hours before his passing. There will be no more temporary homes for Dave .... God opened the gates of Heaven he is home. Ed Young”
