She was predeceased by: her sister Karen Haines; her parents, Charles M. Gillespie and Eleanor E. Showalter (Kuklinski); and her son-in-law Justin R. Lawing (Andrea). She is survived by: her children, Michael Barilla (Nickie) and Andrea Barilla; her grandchildren, Geno and Roman Barilla; and her siblings, Charles M. Gillespie (Michelle), Yvonne Coffey (Tom) and Laurie L. Tubb (William).
