It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Denis Meinert (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), who passed away on August 26, 2024, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Denis Meinert to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Meinert and Alice Meinert; his parents-in-law, Jim and Mary Jackson; his sister-in-law Shelley Jackson; and his nephew Benjamin Franks-Meinert.
He is survived by: his wife Fran Meinert (Jackson); his children, Mary Bamberg (Jeffrey), Mark Meinert (Crystal), Max Meinert (Molly) and Marcy Pratt-Panford (Ebo); and his grandchildren, James, Elsie Bamberg, Connor, Zoe, Fitzgerald Meinert and Ebo Pratt-Panford Jr.. He is also survived by his nine siblings and 38 nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Denis' memory to Black Pastors United for Education, Commonwealth Foundation or the Bartlett Cancer Research Fund.
