He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Moritz and Rose Moritz (Klein); and his siblings, Shirle Goldstone and Norman Moritz. He is survived by: his wife Janet Papernick (Papernick); his children, Paula Spock (Robert), Laurie Moritz and J. Kenneth Moritz (Natalie); and his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Ben, Addie, Ian, Paige and Sophie.
