He was predeceased by: his wife Ann Robinson Thompson; his sister Marjorie Holliman of Elm Grove, Missouri.; and his parents, Charles F. Thompson and Margaret L. Thompson. He is survived by: his children, Sharon Lyn Thompson (Mfuwe), Maxfield Remington Wholey, Peter Hall Thompson (Marie Maxwell) of Mt. Lebanon, Spencer (Megan Steffl), Emma (Steve Brown), Duncan, Kai, Malcolm, Maisie, Finn, Quinn, Aila and Bruce Robert Thompson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Southminster Presbyterian Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
