He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Virginia L. Schaffer (Lucarelli); his children, Jeffrey Schaffer (Bunny) and Jeanni Postlethwait (Keith); his grandchildren, Brandon Postlethwait, Bryan Postlethwait, Jeffrey Schaffer (Julie) and Macey Schaffer (Jason Kollinger); his great grandchildren, Jada Angstrom, Cameron Kollinger, Tristan Kollinger, Brinley Schaffer and Atlas Kollinger; and his siblings, Lorraine Loeffler (Bob), Carol Marchetti (George) and Ron Schaffer (Arlene).

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Boron Funeral Home, Inc. (1719 Brownsville Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15210). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 7:30 PM at the same location.
