Edwin A. Smith Sr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edwin A. Smith Sr. (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 28, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Arlene Smith (Elmeier); and his daughter Mary. He is survived by: his children, Edwin (Lorena), Ernest (Kathleen), Harry, Charlene Helt (Bruce), Eric (Sheryl) and Catherine Usner (Richard); and his siblings, Lester Smith and Carol Lightner. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Schellhaas Funeral Home & Cremation (388 Center Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15229). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Lord Parish (4071 Franklin Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15214).
