With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edwin T. Neff (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), born in Braddock, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 17, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edwin F. Neff and Teresa Neff (Welsh); his wife Patty Neff (O'Block) of Teacher's College; his daughters, Amy Thind (Neff) and Susan Kelsey (Neff); his children-in-law, Gurb and Steven; his grandchildren, Katie, Annie, McKenna and Jack; his brother Jack; his brother-in-law Robert O'Block; his friend Ted; and also, Roz and Bob. He was also cherished by friends.

In lieu of flowers Ed's family suggest donations be made to Folds of Honor (foldsofhonor.org) which combines Ed's lifelong dedication to the military and education or to Plum Food Pantry (plumfoodpantry.org) 81 Sandune Dr., Plum, PA 15239.

“My sympathies to all of the family. I did not know Edwin, but I was a student of Patty's at Gateway. Mrs. (Patricia) Neff was my favorite teacher. In the 1970-71 school year she taught me in Algebra II, Trig, and Prob/Stat. She had such a positive influence on me that I studied mathematics at Allegheny College, earned a Ph. D. from Notre Dame and taught 37 years at Duquesne University. I was a tall, thin kid with longish blond hair. Thank you, Mrs. Neff! My condolences. George Bradley”
