With sadness, we share the passing of Eugene N. Sommer (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania). Eugene, born on September 25, 1945, passed away on September 4, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sommer and Rosaline Sommer; and his sister Kathy Sommer Brown. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Brian Sommer (Joy) of Plum, Melissa Sommer of Greensburg and Kristin Lewis (Brian) of Plum; his grandchildren, Trevor, Zoe, Jake, Colin and Abby; and his brother Jack Sommer (Judy). He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and many close friends.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Joy R. C. Church (2000 O'Block Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15239).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
