In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Evelyn leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Evelyn may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Meglaye and Elsie Meglaye (Galket) of East Pittsburgh, PA.; her siblings, Jean Roberts (Harry) and Richard Meglaye; and her nieces, Nancy Ramsey (Shafer) and Noralee Regrut (Stewart).
She is survived by: her former husband David Stewart Shafer; her children, Lauren Kaplan (Howard) of McConnellsburg, PA and Russell Shafer of Ojai, CA.; her sister-in-law Frannie Meglaye of Greensburg, PA; and her husband Fred. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
