He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank J. Pistella "Sonny" and Rita Pistella (Kineavy); his siblings-in-law, Jim Carr and Robin Pistella; and his close friend Carol Lawniczak.
He is survived by: his daughter Lauren Pistella Ley; his siblings, Rita Carr of Stuart, FL, Noreen Saville (David), Jeanette Thomas (Donald), Paul Pistella and Jack Pistella (Donna); his uncle Robert Kineavy (Sue); and his aunt Mary Dolan of Stuart, FL. He is also survived by nieces, his nephew, cousins, and the children of his nieces and nephew.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Walter J. Zalewski Funeral Home (216 44th St, Pittsburgh, PA 15201). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Aiden Parish.
