Geanne leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Geanne’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Geanne will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Friedland and Ruth Friedland. She is survived by: her husband Richard Dean Thompson; her children, Leah (Anthony) and Samuel (Misha); and her brother Nathan (Ilene).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc. (5509 Centre Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15232). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Geanne's memory be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause close to her heart.
