In loving memory of Gena M. O'Lear (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), who departed this world on July 19, 2025 at the age of 74. Gena leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Gena may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gena touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband Andrew (Drew); and her brothers, Robert and Joseph Schaeffer. She is survived by: her brother William Schaeffer; and her sibling's children, Michelle Loadman, Tracy Renshler, Tina Schaeffer, Matthew Schaeffer and Joshua Schaeffer. She is also survived by great nieces and a nephew.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, Inc. (3552 California Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15212).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Animal Friends (especially to all of the cats).
