He was predeceased by: his son Jeffrey; and his siblings, Jack, Mary and Kay. He is survived by: his wife Joan Smelscer Sarver; his children, Richard (Patty), William, Greg, Jill Rhoton (Greg) of North Lima and Kelly of McCandless; and his siblings, Joanne "Babe", Pat, Judy, Sandy and Ronnie.
