As we bid Gerald farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Gerald is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Tealy, Sr. Alston and Georgeanna Alston; and his siblings, Edward Alston, Mary Williams and Tealy Alston, Jr..
He is survived by: his sister Cecelia Trent; and his grandchildren, Eula Burleigh, William "Sapp" Alston, Leroy Alston, Max Alston, Robert Alston and Emma Glover. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
