She was predeceased by: her parents, Mark Rush and Minerva Rush; her husband Robert Vance; her children, Robert Earl, Derlyn, Clifton and April; her children-in-law, Cora Ann, Sheryl, Maeolia, Harry and Alvin; her siblings, Irene, Bernice, Homer, Earl and Samuel; her siblings-in-law, Marie, Grace, Herman, Willie and Clarence; her grandson Quinton; and her close friend Grace.

She is survived by: her daughters, Gail Ballard (Armel) of Moreno Valley, CA and Michelle McIntosh (Anthony) of Pittsburgh; her sister Rosie Watson of Texarkana, Texas; her godchildren, Charles "Pops" and La'Fay; and her friend Walter.
