He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Kunkel and Mary Siviy Kunkel; and his brother Robert Kunkel (Marion). He is survived by: his wife Janet G. Kovatch Kunkel; his daughter Mary Kunkel; his grandchildren, Ave and John Thompson; and his sisters, Barbara Schreiber and Mary Beth Kunkel. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
