He is survived by: his children, Shanna Rae Ellis of Washington, PA and Rashelle Tyler of Pittsburgh, PA.; his sister Loretta Adams; his sibling's children, Rochelle Tyler, Sheilah Adams-Woods (Roland) and John Tyler Jr.; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jordan Allen and Breah Lee.
