It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Helene M. Scheider (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), who passed away on May 28, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Charles R. Scheider; her daughter Coleen Scheider; and her brother Stanley. She is survived by: her children, Elaine Miele (Bob), Timothy (Flo), Michael (Barbara) and Patrick (Jackie); her grandchildren, Ashley (Mark), Brooke, Carly, Bailey (Sam), Amanda, Isabella, Brianna, Timothy and Christian; her great grandchild Elicia; and her siblings, Anita Hochendoner (late Earl), Patricia Gallagher, Connie Fetcko (late Joe) and Edward "Ned" Gallagher (Marianne). She is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc. (4201 Brownsville Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15227). A prayer will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 10:15 AM at the Blessed Trinity Parish (3198 Schieck St, Pittsburgh, PA 15227). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
