With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James E. Baker (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 11, 2024 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, we take solace in the memories we hold dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though James may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward Baker and Margaret Baker (Ehrenberger). He is survived by : his wife Jean Baker; his daughters, Melissa Kakos (Mark), Sharon Baker, Alyssa Benedict (Carl) and Carrie Swift (Rob); and his pet Darby. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sperling Funeral Home (700 Blazier Dr, Wexford, PA 15090). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Boniface Church of Christ (2208 East St, Pittsburgh, PA 15212).
