He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph McCarty and Nora McCarty; his sister Mary Smidt; and his wife Sandra. He is survived by: his children, Kerry McCarty (Candy), Keith McCarty (Pam), Merritt Fasick (Jack) and Kelly Ackerson; his stepdaughter Tracey Teagan; his grandchildren, Lindsay White (Alex), Megan Lenz (Ed), Zach McCarty (Kelly), Emmanuel Teagan (Shavonda), Nora Sokol (Jacob), Richie Phillips, Jonathan Ackerson (Nate), Ellie Ackerson, Alyssa Ackerson, Makayla McCarty and Kacey McCarty; his great grandchildren, Eddie, Luke, Callahan, Kerriah, Noah, Maeve, Ada and Ace; and his brother Donald McCarty. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Schellhaas Funeral Home & Cremation (388 Center Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15229). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
