He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Owens and Mary Louise Owens (Lavallade). He is survived by: his wife Debbie; and his siblings, Robert Owens (Joanne), Deborah Iacoboni (Jack), Lisa Rodgers (Jack) and Meg Moio (Anthony). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Due to his love for animals, the family is asking that donations be made to either the Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh (Humaneanimalrescue.org), or the Tuscarawas County Humane Society (Tuschumanesociety.org) where their dogs were adopted.
