It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean M. Mazzie of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 7, 2026, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Jean departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Jean. Though Jean may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ubaldo Merelli and Emilia Merelli; her husband Frank Mazzie (Fortunato); her grandson Fortunato "Nato" Mazzie Rose; and her siblings, Josephine Capuzzi, Madeline Polito, Dominic Merelli, Peter Merelli and Helen Ross.
She is survived by: her daughters, Debbie Moir (late Ken) and Barbara Mazzie Rose (Tom). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family kindly requests no flowers, and asks that condolences and prayers be shared in her memory.
