He was predeceased by: his parents, Al Gerthoffer and Carole Gerthoffer. He is survived by: his children, Jessica Gerthoffer (Tom McGovern) and Jason Gerthoffer (Margarita); his siblings, Deb Yator (Chuck), Al Gerthoffer (Kim), Bill Gerthoffer (Joan), Ron Gerthoffer (Pam) and Kim Kearns; and his grandsons, Trevor McGovern, Levi Gerthoffer and Dominic McGovern. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Perman Funeral Home (923 Saxonburg Blvd, Pittsburgh, PA 15223). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the same location.
