She was predeceased by: her husband Joel G. Bernstein; her parents, Joseph Shapiro and Clara Ida Shapiro; and her brother Manuel. She is survived by: her child Jaron M. Bernstein (Alison Colman); her brother Bernard Shapiro of Pittsburgh; her nieces and nephews, Julia Shapiro (Ram Jambunathan) and Ali Shapiro (Carlos Queiros); Eca Queiros.
