She was predeceased by: her parents, John LaValley and Elizabeth LaValley (Staas); and her husband Earl Williams. She is survived by: her children, Lynn Solomon (David), Nancy Chisholm and James Williams; her grandchildren, Ilene, Heather and Leandra; and her great grandchildren, Adrian, Jack, Kate and Benjamin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Joan's name to St. Ferdinand Comfort Blanket Ministry.
