With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John E. Wood (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), born in Detroit, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 30, 2025 at the age of 79. Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint John leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Margaret "Maggie" Wood; his son Andrew "Andy" Wood (Lindsay); his siblings, Eugene (Carol), Janet, Andrea (Dennis) and Wendy (Barb); and his grandchildren, Phineas and Beatrice Wood.
