We are sad to announce that on January 10, 2024, John H. Gillenberger of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Catherine L. Neiport (Bittner); his brother Ronald "Mickey"; his parents, Ted Szalla Sr. and Lillian Gillenberger Szalla (Hanbury); his cousin Vern Gillenberger; his aunt Jeannie; and his pet Gracie. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, http://www.cancer.org.
