He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Jean Lewis (Eichensehr); his children, Jeffery (Debby), Brittney and John, Jr.; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Tim), JJ, Megan (Nick), Jeff, Jr. (Sarah) and Zachary (Mary Ann); his great grandchildren, Jordan, Dylan, Riley, Landon, Lucas, Layton, Mathew, Lilian, Abigail, Lydia, Colson, Greyson and Katherine; and his sister Nancy Ziegler.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Timothy K. Slater Funeral Services, Inc. (425 Brownsville Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15210). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the South Side Cemetery (1404 Brownsville Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15210).
