He is survived by: his wife Ann (Szmul); his sons, Gregory and Michael Holowatyj; his sister Mary Byrum (late Mark); his nephew James Byrum (Erin); his great-niece Olive Byrum; and his brother-in-law Tony Szmul (Kristina).
