It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John R. Bozek (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on July 16, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Clara Bozek; and his parents, John and Sophie. He is survived by: his siblings, Chet, Leo and Fran (Ed); his stepchildren, Blair (Jane), Mark (Elaine), Greg (Marjorie), Paul (Mich) and Christine Crompton (George); his grandchildren, John (Daniela), Katie Kinnamon (Eric), Jake, Avery Ramos (Damon), Mickey (Brooke), Audrey Crompton (Dylan Royston) and Denise; and his great grandchildren, Lola, Layla, Lydia, Hazel, Maeve, Savannah, Hank, Tomas, Jack, Luke, Lennon and Gwen. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, and friends.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a local nonprofit that John supported, The Veterans Breakfast Club, to honor the selfless spirit of service to the nation that John exemplified.
