It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph E. Winkler (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), who passed away on June 4, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Winkler and Barbara Winkler; his wife Eileen (Matthews); and his sisters, Dolores Ebbert (Walter) and Barbara Fischer.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph Winkler, Karen Wainwright (William), Kristine Remas (Donald), Amy Knaus (Keith), Sue Solinski (Paul), Joe Winkler (Denise), Jennifer Horan (Michael) and David Winkler (Amy); his grandchildren, Emily Drotar (Michael), Benjamin Wainwright (Veronica), Abigail Wainwright, Joseph Remas, Elizabeth Manning (Matt), Amanda Peluso (DJ), Sarah Collage (Jeff), Holly Knaus, Matthew Knaus, Jacob, Olivia Winkler, Nathaniel, Connor Horan, Greta, Alana and David Winkler; his great grandchildren, Eileen, William, Phillip Drotar, Grant, Adalyn Wainwright, Reid Manning, Stella, Luca, Pearl Jo Peluso and Heath Collage; and his sister Juanita Fischer (Ronald). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and life-long friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family would suggest a donation in Joe's name the following: the Shaler Hampton Area EMS to whom the family is grateful for their above and beyond efforts for Joe.
