It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joseph R. Pawlak (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), who passed away on July 21, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Catherine M. Pawlak (Zick); his son Mark Pawlak; and his siblings, Mary Ann Guszczynski, Catherine Pawlak and Harry Pawlak.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph Pawlak (Linda), David Pawlak (Lori), Judy Bippus (Glenn) and Carol Merigliano (Dom); and his grandchildren, Mark Pawlak (Kerri), Staci Pawlak, Derek Bippus, Marisa Bippus, Emily Simmons (Andrew), Ryan Bippus (Allison), Catherine Merigliano and Maria Merigliano. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Walter J. Zalewski Funeral Home (216 44th St, Pittsburgh, PA 15201). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish (311 Siebert Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15237).
