She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Carey of Boston, Mass. and Grace Carey (Jones); her sister Sharon Jones (Carey); and her cousins, Bobby and Jimmy Carey.
She is survived by: her children, Matt Hall and Daleth Eliza Hall; her brothers, Monty Python, Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder; her daughters, Karen, Elena and Kaija; her children-in-law, Erica Gilbertson and Jesse Easudes; her grandchildren, Elena, Kaija Gilbertson Hall, Zephyr and Griffin Easudes; her brother John (Mary); her cousin Danny (Mary Jane); her former husband Bob "Eli" Hall; her nieces and nephews, Mina, Annie, Mike, Molly and Sharonda; her friends, Mary Susie Knauss, Vanessa Wilson, RuthAnn Brazdova and Warren Jones; and her caregiver Marissa LaWall.
When the pandemic hit, visitors were barred from the hospital, so Karen spent the better part of a year and a half unable to see her beloved family and friends.
