He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Susan Hartmann Kantrowitz; his children, Marci Kantrowitz Barnes, Ronald Hartmann Kantrowitz and Pamela Kantrowitz Calig; his brother Richard B. Kantrowitz; and his grandchildren, Harrison Calig, Henry Barnes, Ross Calig, Dylan Calig, Alana Calig and Willow Kantrowitz.
