He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Mears and Helen Mears; his siblings, Robert Mears and Kimberley Mears; and his nephew Robby Mears.

He is survived by: his wife Kellie Barrett Mears; his siblings, Patrick Mears (Patricia) and Kara Wagner (Robert); his in-laws, Kate Barrett and Jeffrey Barrett (Elizabeth); his nieces and nephews, Kaitlyn Mears-Stropes (Kristi), Leah Mears-Fisco (James), Jason Nixon (Liz) and John Mears; and his pet Milo.

Viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Readshaw Funeral Home (1503 Brownsville Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15210).

In leiu of flowers donations can be made to the family.
