She was predeceased by: her parents, William M. Yost and Joan I. Yost. She is survived by: her husband Michael H. Sopko; her children, Joshua Sopko and Jesse Sopko (Nicole); her stepchildren, Michael Morgan, Bevelynn Sopko, Michael H. Sopko Jr. and Melissa Sopko; her siblings, William Yost (Jane) and Pamela Bandi; and her niece Mara Bandi. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Laura's memory to the Option Independent Fire Company, 825 Streets Run Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236.
