He is survived by: his mother Madeline Lampkin; his children, Chrystal Lampkin, Monica Lampkin (Baldridge), Kenneith Lampkin and Leslie Lampkin; his grandchildren, David Eric Benson Jr., Brandon Benson, Delmar Taylor, Lamar Taylor, Asante Bey, Dorean Lampkin, Draymond Jordan, Alexis Mcmiller, Christian Mcmiller, Julian Baldridge, David Benson Jr. III, Dario Benson, Jai'ciara Bey, Savyonna, Sieonna Bey and Zarena Bey; his siblings, Carmela Melo and Stanley Lampkin; and his niece Robin Melo. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
