He is survived by: his wife Beatrice "Bebe" (Mitchell); his children, Jeffrey Buncher, MD (Elizabeth) of Charleston, SC, Robert Buncher (Karen), Cynthia Buncher Savitt of Pittsburgh and Barbara Buncher Gibson of Atlanta, GA; his grandchildren, Titania Jordan (Bjorn), Jacqueline Martin (Kyle), Jeffrey Jr. (Elissa), Janna and Jonathan Buncher; and his great grandchildren, Jackson, Beau, Ryan, Caden and Lincoln.
He received the Pittsburgh Post Gazette Dapper Dan Award for his outstanding contribution to college sports.
