He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann; his children, Elizabeth Krisher (Jim), Christopher Kearns (Timothee), Patricia Steinkopf (Jeff), Amy Ruffing (Joe), Matthew Kearns (Carla) and Thomas Kearns (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Zachary (Lindsay), Cullen, Joe, Shane, Miranda (Atta), Katy (Thomas), Paige, Elliot (Shaelah), Mandy, Josh (Jen), Kaylee (Carlin), Reilly, Lucas and Mackenzie (Tyler); his great grandchildren, Bailey, Lacie, Jonah, Atlas and Killian; and his siblings, Ellen Manns (Paul) and Robert Kearns (Donna).
Visitation was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Edward P. Kanai Funeral Home (500 Greenfield Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15207). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Paul Cathedral Parish (108 N Dithridge St, Pittsburgh, PA 15213).
In lieu of flowers Rege requested donations to St. Jude Research Hospital.
