He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Kowal, Sr. and Lucy Fornelli Kowal; his wife Kathleen Kelly Kowal; and his sisters, Katherine Christie and Lucille Keene.
He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Kowal, Erin Downs of Seminole, Fla. and Melissa Lang (Andrew) of Pittsburgh; his brothers, David Kowal, Stanley Kowal, Jr. and Richard Kowal; and his grandchildren, Dylan, Emma Downs and Owen Lang.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, or just perform a random act of kindness in memory of Mike.
